About Us
The Medical Reserve Corps of Illinois (MRCIL) was formed in 2004 as a means of sharing information between units in Illinois. Since that time our coalition has grown significantly with the addition of many more units, 49 in all.
Meetings are scheduled quarterly at two sites simultaneously. One north and one south of Interstate 80. Meetings are set up as a teleconference so that we can insure that everyone has a chance to participate in decisions.
MRCIL is designed to bring unit leaders from Illinois MRC's together to discuss issues they commonly face, training concepts, ideas on marketing and promotion as well as program development.
MRCIL is also going through the stages of becoming a bit more in line with other organizations like us by developing some Policies and Procedures for leadership positions and the make-up of standing committees.
Other items being worked on in committees are a uniform set of guidelines for training and response so that we can each be an asset to one another should the unthinkable ever happen.
We value the input of all of our coordinators and volunteers in the development of programs through our committees and invite all of you to send us a note on items that are of a concern to you. |
